Brief History
Ba Bing Long is 39 years old, born in Beijing in 1959. Bing Long didn't come from a house too poor or too wealthy – it was designed to be a nice life, really, and Bing Long would've been able to enjoy it if it weren't for his powers.

Many people tended to shy away from Bing Long throughout his life. Sometimes they'd take a look at him and pale. Others would even turn around and never speak to him again. He didn't fully understand this as a child, even when his mother up and left one day. ( To this day, he still doesn't quite understand why. Eh, well, no skin off his back. )

His father managed to raise him, though. His father, a retired soldier in the Chinese army, feared no one, and Bing Long became incredibly close to him. Once Bing Long's destiny was revealed to him, along with an explanation of why people feared Bing Long, his father decided it best for Bing Long to be home-schooled. His father educated him in all the necessities, as well as kung-fu to defend himself with when the time came.

Bing Long's father died when he was twenty. By then he managed to move out of the house ( they discovered that it was eye contact that triggered his powers, so he constantly wore sunglasses ) to attend a medical school. He was flat-broke by the time he graduated, and was forced to move into a shabby apartment complex in Beijing.

There, he met his future wife: Lin Yao.

She immediately won his affection when he discovered she didn't run away from him in fear. He flirted with her constantly, but gave the woman her space. Somehow, someway, he managed to crack the stone-cold barrier that surrounded Lin Yao, and they wed when he was thirty-three. ( It took a loooooong time to crack Lin Yao's shell. ) He stopped wearing his sunglasses after they were wed.

Despite Lin Yao's inability to have children, Bing Long stuck by her side and supported her. Though he feared for the promised day, they bought a house on the outskirts of Beijing, where Lin Yao did her stone sculptures and Bing Long found work in a local clinic.

Personality
Bing Long is an extremely eccentric man, proclaiming his love to Lin Yao on a daily ( sometimes hourly ) basis. He's been known to punch people in the face out of affection ( it was how he and his father bonded ) and tackle people randomly in the streets. Despite his childlike attitude, Bing Long is a very intelligent man, and an extremely capable fighter. You definitely don't want to get on his bad side, that's for sure. He's very, very much in love with his wife.
